Indoor Curling is a form of the original curling game, but adapted so that it can be played indoors on any smooth, flat surface, such as a sports hall, rather than on ice and it is suitable for all ages and all levels of ability. Indoor Curling is a sport that requires participants to deliver ‘stones’ from one end of the court to a target at the other end of the court. The target has red, white and blue concentric circles and scoring is determined by the number of stones closest to the centre of this target. Each game normally consists of 6 or 8 ends and is played on a court based on half the width of a standard size badminton court with each end being played in the opposite direction to the previous end. The winner is the player with the highest number of scoring ‘stones’ at the finish of the game. (From the New Age Kurling website)

13:30Lofthouse - G2H (Grief to Hope)
Bereavement can be a lonely, scary, journey. The author, CS Lewis wrote...“For in grief nothing "stays put." One keeps on emerging from a phase, but it always recurs. Round and round. Everything repeats. Am I going in circles, or dare I hope I am on a spiral? But if a spiral, am I going up or down it? How often -- will it be for always? -- how often will the vast emptiness astonish me like a complete novelty and make me say, "I never realized my loss till this moment"? The same leg is cut off time after time.” ― C.S. Lewis, A Grief Observed If you have been bereaved, please do feel welcome to come along to our fortnightly drop-in cafe (called G2H Grief to Hope) We have a group of trained volunteers who will lend a listening ear and support to all who attend. The format is relaxed; an introduction for the whole group then a chance to chat and share experiences with people around smaller tables. No rules, no judgement...the chance to be yourself and find the support of new friends.
